Flex Design System was created by Ben Ellis, a seasoned UK-based UX designer, to offer a practical, extensible tool built from real-world experience.

Frustrated by having to leave previous systems behind due to IP restrictions, Ben crafted Flex Design System as a personal, professional-grade system—designed to balance structure and flexibility without over-engineering.

It reflects his freelance journey across tools and brands, now rooted in Figma, and is intended not only for rapidly kicking off UX projects but also as a learning reference for UX & design system best practices.
